Last night while the majority of Americans slept, Jeff Jarrett and the Bullet Club appeared at the annual NJPW “King of Pro-Wrestling” event at Sumo Hall in Tokyo.

Tensions were high as Jarrett and his fellow Bullet Club members promised to continue their reign of terror over New Japan Pro Wrestling.

In the main event, Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated AJ Styles to become the first ever seven time IWGP Heavyweight Champion.

Styles was accompanied to ringside by GFW founder and current Bullet Club Chairman, Jeff Jarrett.

Jarrett attempted to get involved in the main event match only to be countered by the surprise return to NJPW of Naofumi Yamamoto, formerly known as Yoshi Tatsu.

Following last night’s turn of events we now know the main event of New Japan’s biggest show of the year, January 4, 2015 at the Tokyo Dome. Hiroshi Tanahashi will defend the IWGP Heavyweight Championship against the #1 new contender Kazuchika Okada.
