One of the best aerialists in the game today, Sonjay has gone by many monikers, from “The Original Playa From The Himilaya” to “The Guru”, but the most truthful may be many experts who have dubbed him unequivocally the best X-Division style wrestler to have never held that particular championship. However, Sonjay has found a new goal ahead as he focuses on the GFW NEXT*GEN Championship, and certainly has the experience to beat anyone up and down the GFW roster on any given night. Sonjay made his TNA debut in 2003, barely three years into his wrestling career, and immediately wowed crowds with spectacular offense such as the Hindu Press or moonsault double-foot stomp. Dutt consistently performed at the top of his game be it in X-Division scrambles, Ultimate X matches, World X Cup tournaments, and any other staple of TNA’s X Division, Sonjay thrived in the environment. In 2015, Dutt added another championship to his impressive list of titles when he captured the GFW NEX*GEN Championship at Showcase of Champions in Winston-Salem, NC.
Internationally loved as well, Sonjay’s travels have taken him to Japan, Singapore, and his native India, where he is loved and adored to levels comparable to a rock star here in the United States. Sonjay is very proud of his heritage and the connection he has with the millions of Indian wrestling fans who have faithfully followed his journey, including his stop in Ring Ka King a few years back. You can believe they’ll be watching proudly as Sonjay continues to carve out his legacy in GFW and proudly represent his heritage and his passion for professional wrestling.
