“Big Poppa Pump Is Your Hook-Up… Holla If You Hear Me!”. The words have become iconic through the years, courtesy of a man who is often respected, often feared, usually both. Scott started his journey as an amateur wrestler at the University of Michigan, where he became an NCAA Division I All American, placing sixth in the nation in his senior year. Scott turned pro in 1986, appearing in various territories before winding up in Jim Crockett Promotions (about to become WCW) by the end of the decade, joining older brother Rick. The duo became the most decorated tag team of the 1990s, capturing six WCW World Tag Team Titles, one WCW US Tag Team Title, two WWF World Tag Team Titles, two IWGP Tag Team Titles in New Japan Pro Wrestling, plus various other championships, awards, and tournaments. Scott is also famous for inventing and perfecting the Frankensteiner, a move some fans may know more commonly as a hurancanrana, but rest assured, no one could execute the maneuver quite as flawlessly and impactfully as Steiner, a move he has amazingly still utilized to perfection even in recent years!

As the 1990s began to reach an end, Steiner opted to leave the Steiner Brothers tag team legacy behind him, and “Big Poppa Pump” was born. Initially a member of the NWO, Steiner would ultimately wind up not playing so well with others, and found success on his own, and plenty of controversy as well due to his short temper, dangerous mean streak, and completely unpredictable nature. Steiner’s new demeanor worked, as “The Big Bad Booty Daddy” would win the WCW World Title late in the year 2000, holding the title longer than the previous 30 titleholders before him. After a brief return to WWE where he terrorized the likes of Triple H, Steiner made his way to TNA, at first as a hired heavy to Jeff Jarrett, and eventually as part of The Main Event Mafia. To this day, Steiner is among the most feared presences anywhere in wrestling and his appearances as one of the legends of Global Force Wrestling have assured unpredictability and plenty of colorful moments. We are privileged to have Big Poppa Pump as part of the GFW team!
