Colt Cabana

Boom Boom! The man who proudly hails from Maxwell Street in Chicago, Illinois has become an inspiration for many with his DIY attitude and ability to self-brand into his own smoothly-operating business. At the foundation of all of that, however, is an amazingly talented and entertaining in-ring competitor. Cabana has been all over the world countless times over and has studied all styles of combat, particularly the European World of Sport style, as well as the knowledge of the Japanese style that has come from his numerous tours of the country, most notably for Pro Wrestling NOAH. It honestly may be easier to list the countries Colt HASN’T appeared in. While the aforementioned styles are evident in watching Colt wrestle, it’s when Cabana adds his unique blend of comedy and mind games to psych out his opponents that truly make him unpredictable and nearly impossible to be prepared for.

Back state-side, Cabana may best be known for his long and successful stint in Ring of Honor, which included a ROH World Tag Title reign alongside partner CM Punk. Cabana signed with WWE in 2007, however it seemed that those in Stamford never truly “got” who and what Colt Cabana was, and as a result, his platform was fleeting. That may have been a blessing in disguise, however, as after parting ways with his former employer, Cabana was determined to build a successful brand on his own, and no one can dispute he’s succeeded. From his travels as a stand-up comedian to popular regular YouTube episodes such as “Cut My Promo” and “Worst Promo Ever” to his wildly successful “Art of Wrestling” podcast, considered by many to be the father of the wrestling podcast boom, Colt Cabana is as busy and multi-faceted as ever. With GFW quickly on the rise as well, it’s a perfect fit to have Colt Cabana bring his own style of fun into the GFW six-sided ring!
