From wrestling rings to KFC commercials to underground DVD hits, Compton has earned one of his many nicknames of “Mr. Media”. Never afraid to get into a fight, Compton is best known in-ring for his brawling nature and unwavering toughness. Compton doesn’t care about flash or style when he could just easily punch someone in the face. Compton’s training only serves to lend to his credibility, as he spent time honing his craft in two of the most noteworthy locations a professional wrestler can seek out… Larry Sharpe’s Monster Factory as well as Ohio Valley Wrestling.
Compton’s first rise to prominence occurred under the name of Domino as part of the Deuce ‘n’ Domino team in WWE. While hindered with their 1950s greaser personas, that didn’t stop Compton’s inner toughness from shining through as he led his team to a WWE Tag Title reign, defeating Paul London & Brian Kendrick to end what was (and still is) the longest title reign in history with that particular set of tag titles (and second-longest in history of all of WWE’s tag titles). Compton has also resurfaced in OVW to huge success, becoming only the ninth man in history to capture all three of OVW’s top championships. Compton also made an impression in Ring of Honor, largely as part of Steve Corino’s S.C.U.M. faction, where Compton was quick to pick many fights with Kevin Steen (Owens). Cliff Compton is fearless, he is intimidating, and he is looking for a fight with anyone he can get his hands on in Global Force Wrestling.
