EC3 retains his TNA World Championship against KOTM Champion PJ Black, will Jeff Jarrett be in charge on a permanent basis?

Global Force Wrestling founders Jeff and Karen Jarrett kicked this week’s Impact Wrestling on Destination America. The Jarrett’s ran Impact for the second week in a row. Jeff talked about how Global Force Wrestling has been shaking up the wrestling world on the Grand Slam Tour and on Impact Wrestling. Jeff noted that tonight would be the first time that a Global Force Wrestling champion would be challenging a TNA Champion and that would be this week’s main event. Before Jeff could say anything else, he was interrupted by EC3. Karen Jarrett interrupted EC3 and reminded him that Jeff Jarrett founded TNA and he still has some ownership in TNA. Karen wondered if EC3 had something to gain by attacking Bully Ray. Jeff gave EC3 two options tonight. Jeff said that he can either defend his championship tonight or get stripped.

Later in the show, Bobby Roode confronted Jeff Jarrett backstage because he felt disrespected for not being considered for last week’s King Of The Mountain match.

We had to wait until later in the show to find out whether EC3 would defend is TNA Championship or whether he’d forfeit the title. EC3 opted to defend his title and it was a grueling back and forth match but EC3 came out on the winning end so he is still the TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

Jeff Jarrett and Dixie Carter discussed tonight’s main event backstage. Jarrett suggested that he should be in charge every week. Carter seemed to like the idea but said that she needed a week to decide. Will GFW co-founder Jeff Jarrett be in charge on a permanent basis? Find out next week on Impact Wrestling only on Destination America!
